Samba-Lars is a portrait doc about Lars Fernando Nerdal, who got adopted at the very late age of 7 – from a poor and crime-ridden family in Sao Paulo, Brazil, to Mo i Rana, a tiny town in northern Norway. Today, at 34, after a life full of turmoil, he will travel back and see his biological family again. This is not your average adoption ride – Lars Fernando is bloody serious about his identity.
